Ashton Meadows Public School (also known as A.M.P.S., AMPS, or simply Ashton) is a public elementary school in Markham, Ontario, Canada. It was named after nearby Ashton Meadows Park. Prior to being named, the school was known as "Buttonville-North” in honour of its location and in reference to the holding school, Buttonville P.S. Ashton Meadows Public School is a feeder school for Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School. ==History== Ashton Meadows Public School was officially opened in 1997. Prior to being named, the school was known as "Buttonville North" in honour of its location and in reference to the holding school, Buttonville Public School. Ashton is located in the western area of Markham. The school attendance area is bounded on the south by Sixteenth Avenue, on the east of Woodbine Avenue, on the west of Warden Avenue, and on the north by the homes on Personna Boulevard. A child-care centre, Ashton Meadows Child Care, owned and operated by Upper Canada Child Care, is located at Ashton Meadows. The centre staff work closely with teachers and parents and administration to support students attending the school.
